Young Living Peppermint Essential Oil
Dr. William N. Dember of the University of Cincinnati studied peppermint’s effects on concentration and mental activity and found that inhaling peppermint oil increased mental accuracy by 28 percent. It has also been cited for it’s ability to support healthy digestion and promote proper respiratory function.
Alan Hirsch, M.D., studied peppermint’s value to add to comfort and satiety after a meal. Dr Hirsch found that when inhaled, peppermint improves/restores sense of taste by stimulating the trigeminal nerve and stimulates the brain’s satiety center (ventromedial nucleus of the hypothalamus) to curb appetite. University of Kiel researchers found that peppermint blocked headache pain in a double-blind placebocontrolled cross-over study.
